7 HOURS OF TRAVEL… and Martha’s Vineyard was worth every single minute. For the last two years, I’ve wanted to see it, feel it, and walk this magical place for myself. And I finally made it. My first thought when I arrived: Why am I so late to the party?! 😂 But late is better than never in the words of @prettyinpinkbrows There is something so beautiful and special about this place—the history, the culture, the excellence, the energy. I’m taking my time to soak it ALL in. And what makes this moment even more meaningful is that today, I’ll be accepting an award right here on Martha’s Vineyard. Thank you @iamlilliemae To arrive at a place I’ve dreamed of experiencing and be celebrated while I’m here? My heart is FULL. I’m filled with gratitude. Filled with joy. And reminded once again that sometimes the journey takes a little longer because the arrival is supposed to mean a little more. Martha’s Vineyard, I finally made it. And I already know I’ll be back and bringing my VIPS! This Friday, I have the incredible honor of being celebrated on Martha’s Vineyard—and my heart is full. Thank you @iamlilliemae for seeing me and celebrating my community service Martha’s Vineyard represents so much more than a beautiful destination to me. It is a place deeply rooted in Black excellence, culture, legacy, community, and generations of us creating spaces where we can thrive. So to be honored during such a powerful cultural experience feels incredibly aligned with everything I stand for. I’ve always believed that our success deserves to be seen. Our stories deserve to be told. Our businesses deserve to be celebrated. And our excellence deserves rooms, stages, tables, and experiences that reflect just how powerful we are. For years, my mission has been bigger than building businesses or making money. It has been about representation. Leadership. Community. Legacy. Creating opportunities for Black spa and beauty professionals to see what is possible—and then helping them become the example for the next person. This Friday, I’m not just receiving an honor. I’m standing in gratitude for every person who has supported the vision, every woman who trusted me to pour into her business, and every door God has allowed me to walk through. To be celebrated in a place that celebrates us is something I will never take lightly. Martha’s Vineyard, I’m here. Black excellence, Black business, Black legacy. God, thank you for my little life. As I return home from the FARMASI Golden Trip, my heart is FULL. @farmasiusa @farmasiofficial I’ve traveled the world. I’ve built businesses. I’ve experienced rooms, opportunities, and moments I once only prayed about. But what I’m most thankful for is the life I built for myself and family. The people I love. The businesses I’ve built. The community I get to serve. The freedom to travel the world doing what I love. And the ability to keep dreaming BIGGER. This trip reminded me that success isn’t always about chasing the next milestone. Sometimes success is looking around at what you already have and saying, “Wow… I prayed for this.” FARMASI, thank you for the Golden Trip, the memories, the experiences, and the reminder that there is still so much more life for me to LIVE. I’m coming home grateful, inspired, and ready for my next chapter. I really love my little life. And I’m so thankful God trusted me with it. Golden Trip complete. Watching the sunrise over Cappadocia this morning and these views never get old! I couldn’t help but be full of gratitude!
